Don't be alarmed by this post, I just need to get it all out...

I feel like I've got so much on my mind lately.  I just need to get it all out of my head and then I think I'll feel a little bit better.

There is so much going on right now, in life and in writing.  I'm getting ready for this blog tour.  I got all the interviews done that have been sent to me.  There may be a few more coming, not sure.  I think I'm just over stressing about this whole thing.  I'm pretty sure there's nothing more I have to do for it.  I've got all the post written and sent off.  Now it's just up to the bloggers to do the reviews and posts.  Then there are the giveaways and they will send me addresses of where to ship the books.

Next on my mind is NaNoWriMo.  The whole writing a novel in one month thing.  I've got my idea, I'm really excited about it.  I keep coming up with ideas for it.  If nothing else was going on in my life at the moment I think I would have no problem doing the 50,000 words in one month.  Problem one: I'm going to be in Utah for almost the last two weeks of November.  We're going to be visiting family and so it's going to be nearly impossible to get good writing time.  Problem two:  Well, that would be the next paragraph.  But I really want to do this project.  I just don't think I can fit it in right now.  Maybe I'll just do my own thing in January.

Next.  Forsaken.  Gah.  The editing has been going okay.  I've finally gotten myself back into working on it.  I've totally stopped on Eden for the time being.  But I realized about 3 days ago, I hate the entire first half of the book.  I don't even like reading it.  It's just not working for me.  I don't think it's as bad as I'm thinking.  It's decent but it's just not good enough for me.  And there are things that just aren't working.  So, I want to rewrite the first half of it.  *takes a big gulp*  Ya, overwhelming...

I'm feeling the pressure.  I've committed myself to having this thing ready to print and send out by January 11, 2011.  *I just looked down at the date on my computer and realized today is the 11th.*  That's 3 months from today...  3 months.  I can do this...  I wrote the entire manuscript of Ever Burning in that time.  Rewriting roughly 35,000 words should be doable in that time.  Right?...

Last thing.  I am still waiting to get the proof copy of the new Branded cover, as well as the revisions to the manuscript.  It is taking forever to get here.  It's causing me a lot of stress to have it off the market for so long.  And then what if something is wrong with it and I have to make edits to the cover or formatting on the inside?  If it doesn't get here today I am going to be a mess.

*Deep breath*  Okay, I feel a bit better now.  Again, don't be alarmed, I just need to vent and get it all out of my head.  Now onward with the work!

First: Relax about the blog tour and ENJOY the ride. If you have done everything you need to do at this moment, then sit back and relish the fact that...you are on tour!

Second: Last year I committed to doing NaNoWrimo...and only wrote about 1500 words. But because of those 1500 words, I got In the Blood. If you find you can only do it for two weeks this year, and dont "win" thats ok. It will at least get you started. Then set a goal that NEXT November, you WILL win.

Third: Forsaken. I know you can do it. The second half is amazing, you just need the first half up to speed. Maybe use the first two weeks of November and the NaNo challenge to help you focus on that?

Fourth: Proof copy, get here already!!

:)
