The Alex interview post!

I'm so excited to share this with you guys!  Flipping Pages for all Ages did a character interview with Alex and I had SO much fun doing it!  Here's the link: http://flippingpagesforallages.blogspot.com/2010/11/branded-character-interview-giveaway.html

I'm going to copy and paste it here for all you wonderful people!  Enjoy!

Question 1: What is your favorite song to listen to? to play?

Alex: I’ve loved the Goo Goo Dolls for as long as I remember. I’ll always love Theory of a Dead Man. Black Eyed Peas are always great. There’s not too much music that I really don’t like. I’ll never get sick of playing Iris. One of the best songs ever written. Given recent events it has a whole new depth and meaning to me. If there was a theme song to Jessica and I’s life it’d be that.

Q2: Thai is your specialty, but what food or meal is your favorite to eat?

Alex: Does an entire Thanksgiving dinner count? Haha There isn’t much that I don’t like to eat. Oddly I’m a big potato fan, mashed potatoes, French fries, baked potatoes, potato chips… And I’m always a sucker for just a good hamburger or hotdog (as long as I get to grill it myself…).

Q3: What was your first reaction of Jessica when you first saw her standing in your grandparent's house?

Alex: Haha, oh man. First? I was just really hoping she wasn’t going to hit me with that baseball bat. Jessica’s a lot stronger than she looks… And then there was just a lot of shock. I didn’t realize she was going to be there. I’d driven for a whole day straight from Southern California nearly to the Canadian border. My grandparent’s death was a major shocker so my head was in kind of a weird place. When I saw Jessica everything just kind of cleared up, the world suddenly seemed a little brighter.

Q4: Did you ever think angels existed before Jessica entered your world?

Alex: Honestly I’d never thought about it that much. I’m not the most religious person, never really have been. My dad died when I was little and I always liked to believe that he was still with me somehow but I’d never really given anything to the concept of angels. Boy did Jessica open my eyes!

Q5: If your Dad was still around, what do you think would be his opinion of Jessica?

Alex: You know, my dad died before I even turned seven. I don’t remember that much of him. But I’m sure he would have loved her. It’s hard to imagine that anyone could not love Jessica. She’s an amazing girl. She’s been through so much in her life but she’s managed to keep sane. She’s by far the strongest person I know. To Jessica’s ex, Jason, you’ll never realize what you’ve missed out on.

I like the idea of interviewing your characters. Real cool. Makes them more real to your readers. Well done!

It's actually a pretty common thing these days on book blogs. It's usually done a few times on a blog tour like mine. It's a lot of fun to do and to read!
