It took me a while but I finally got my design website to how I like it I think! And I got my own domain name. I'm REALLY hoping it's up and working for everyone. Yesterday for some reason only I was able to see it under the new name but last night my hubby said it was working on his computer. So, here's the new website address:
http://www.indiecoverdesigns.com/
I am really excited about this new venture! You guys and ladies know that I love designing things and I want to take that and try and help out other authors who are looking into self-publishing. I KNOW how overwhelming it all can be. When I first decided to self-publish Branded I had NO idea how to do a cover myself. I posted an ad on Craigslist for a designer job and ended up hiring someone to do it for me. I was pretty happy with what I ended up with. Some of you have probably seen the first edition cover of Branded. But it just wasn't quite there.... So I learned how to do it myself : )
I know what budgets probably look like for cover design, I know what mine looked like. So I'm trying to keep my rates as affordable as possible. So here's the pricing break-down:
Front Cover Design: $75
-That includes cover creation with brushes, textures, or authors own images (please make sure you obtain full rights to any image used), the font of your choice (may have to obtain rights for some), and 3 rounds of revisions.
Stock Images: $15
-Should you like to use a stock image, I can obtain them for you from Shutterstock.com.
Back Cover and Spine Design: $15
I will be flexible on revisions but I may charge a bit more for extensive rounds of revision.
I am also available for banners, book marks, posters, etc. Please feel free to contact me for pricing.
So that's the gist of it! I really do want to help other authors with this, really I do! If you know any authors out there who are wanting to get publishing but may be a bit lost in the cover area please send the site to them. And please, let me know your thoughts on the new site!

Those prices are great! Good luck with your new business!!! :O)
I can honestly vouch that Keary's work is Amaaaaazing!! As I have had the pleasure of working with her on my latest project! Keary I am going to post up a link for your site on my blog! :)
I was wondering, would you consider critiquing covers? It might be a nice extra bit of blogging. You could critique random covers or possibly let people submit their own efforts. Just include a GIGANTIC disclaimer, "if you ask for my opinion, be able to accept it."
Cheers!

PS: found you through C.J., the awesome.
awesome - I love these covers. I'm building a resource for indie authors at www.creativindie.com; I'll post about your cover services. We'll also do cover critiques.
It is stories like these, from people you know who have relatives and loved ones that were severely affected that really make you get up and do something.
