Would you buy it?

So, quick little update.  I am basically done with Eden.  YAY!  I'm still waiting for the check through from my "editors" (aka my super-smart sister and grammatically perfect mother) and will go through it one more time when I hear back from them, but other than that, I'm THERE.

Whoa.  It hasn't really hit me quite yet.  Till I just typed that.  Wow!

So, I've finally had to start working on a synopsis for Eden.  I've been avoiding it like the plague.  Seriously avoiding it.  Like, I haven't even wanted to think about it until the last few days, and that is only because I've had to.  In case you can't tell, I've been majorly stressing about this 250 word blurb for a while.  I've even been dreaming about it...

But, I think I'm pretty happy with what I've come up with.  Being the feedback whore (sorry for such a strong word, nothing else was coming at the moment...) that I am, I wanted to get everyone's opinion.

Is it good enough?  Does it make you want to rush out and buy it? lol

Eve had heard the stories of the Fall, stories of a time before she wandered into the colony of Eden at the age of thirteen, unable to recall anything but her name. She’s seen the aftermath of the technology that infused human DNA with cybernetic matter, able to grow new organs and limbs. It evolved out of control. The machine took over and the soul vanished. A world quickly losing its humanity isn’t just a story to her though. At eighteen, this world is Eve’s reality.

When West came to Eden, he brought the answers to Eve’s missing years. And the reality is that without her, the world wouldn’t have Fallen. She was a means to the end. West didn’t just bring secrets though; he also brought out new feelings inside of Eve, emotions that she’s apparently not supposed to feel. But Eve’s seeing Avian differently too, the man who’s always accepted her for who, or rather what, she is. Eve is realizing there are parts of being human that she hasn’t discovered, and being human is never easy.

Yet the story of mankind is about to become one with no one left to hear it. The Fallen are becoming more and more aggressive. The infection won’t stop until there is no new flesh to spread to. The already impossible world is becoming all the more perilous. Eve doesn’t understand what love is but she’s been told that is what separates them from the Fallen. But what if love gets you killed?

PLEASE, be honest with me!  That's all I ask!

Hi,
I love the concept! Congrat on getting it finished. Here are my notes in the form of a rewrite.

At age 13, Eve wanders into Eden, a lone colony in a hostile world, without any memory of her past. Sheltered by a kind man named Avian, she learns about the tragic events of Eden's Fall. As she searches for clues to her past, she witnesses the colony on the brink of extinction where cybernetic material replace flesh and where artificial intelligence replace the soul.

At 18 years old, Eve meets a stranger named West with the missing pieces of her past, who tells her that she is the key to saving Eden.

As Eve faces a malevolent force known as The Fallen and a fleshing eating plague that spares no one, she must save Eden before the last vestige of humanity is extinguished from the face of the earth.

What I liked: Intriguing! From what I understood, it sounded like an interesting book. However, I agree with publisher. His synopsis was straight and to the point. I found myself confused reading your synopsis because there was A LOT of detail. And not knowing a whole lot about the book then reading your synopsis made me even more confused like detail overload. Publisher's rewrite was straight forward (thumbs up)- now add your writing flair, drama and mystery through the select words. Can't wait!
